Adding, Withdrawing & Transferring Funds
Unlike many denominational funds, United Church Funds (UCF) values its investment funds daily, giving investors the flexibility they need to move funds into, out of and even between their accounts.
Adding to an Account
To make a deposit or add funds to an account, simply mail a check payable to United Church Funds along with a letter of instruction identifying your church or organization's name, address and account number, and stating which fund(s) should be credited and by what amount. If funds are transferred directly from your bank, a letter of instruction may be faxed or emailed to info@unitedchurchfunds.org. Securities are not accepted for deposit into a United Church Funds account.
Withdrawing from an Account
Funds may be withdrawn on a regular schedule, or as needed, and may be based on a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of your portfolio. To make a withdrawal, simply fax, email or mail a letter of instruction with the church or organization's name, address and account number, along with the amount(s) to be withdrawn from which account(s). All withdrawals are paid by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) directly into the organization's checking or savings account of record, and are usually available within 2-3 business days of receipt of the letter of instruction.
Receiving or Reinvesting Income
Unless otherwise directed, UCF will distribute each investor's share of net investment income on the first business day of the following quarter. If an investor requests income reinvestment, the amount reinvested and the number of units purchased will be determined and reported to the investor as of the quarter-end.
Transferring Funds Between Accounts
Changing asset allocations in a UCF account is simply a matter of faxing, emailing or mailing a letter of instruction identifying the account name and number, along with specific transfer instructions. To effect a transfer, UCF will sell units in one fund to purchase units in the new fund, with buy and sell prices determined by daily net asset values.
