United Church Funds' Staff 
United Church Funds (UCF) is served by a group of dedicated professionals, many of whom have served the ministries of the United Church of Christ for more than a decade.
Donald G. Hart
President
Don has served UCF since 1989, becoming President in 1991. Through 2004, he also served as Treasurer of The Pension Boards. A Certified Public Accountant, Don holds a BS from Auburn University and an MA from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is an active member of The Riverside Church in New York City.
The Rev. Nelson Murphy
Director of Investor Development
Nelson joined UCF in 2001 from the National Council of Churches/USA, where he served as Director of Information Technology, a position he also held with the Reformed Church in America in the 1980's. Nelson was ordained by the Southeast Wisconsin Association in 1973 and has served as the pastor of three UCC churches. He holds a BA from Hope College, an MDiv from McCormick Theological Seminary and is a member of Ponds Reformed Church in Oakland, NJ.
Amy Johnson
Executive Associate
Amy joined UCF in 2007, accepting responsibility for day-to-day administration, with a particular focus on client administration systems. Amy spent 10 years in operations and trust management with Cleveland's National City Bank. She holds a BA from Grove City College and an MBA from Penn State. A native Pennsylvanian, Amy enjoys travel, reading, music and the arts.
Michelle Andrée
Treasurer
Michelle Andree joined the UCF staff as Controller in June of 2008. A Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector and public accounting, Michelle graduated summa cum laude from Southern Connecticut State University in 1993. A native of Sri Lanka, Michelle came to the United States in 1990. She and her husband are the parents of twins and live on Long Island, where they are active in the Long Island Meditation Center.
Doreen Forrest
Executive Assistant
Doreen has served in her current position since 1995, after serving the Board for Homeland Ministries of the United Church of Christ. She is a member of Tremont Terrace Moravian Church in the Bronx and enjoys cooking, traveling and the arts.
Milly Hernandez
Account Representative
Milly joined UCF in 2004, taking responsibility for providing superior service on account-related issues. Milly has worked in public opinion research at Baruch College, Greenpath Debt Solutions, and currently works evenings at Bio-Chem Laboratory. She holds two BA degrees, in English and in Sociology, from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Ferdinand J. Vitek
Senior Accountant
Fred joined UCF in 2004 after serving The Pension Boards UCC for 19 years. Fred holds a BS in management from the University of Southern New Hampshire and is a US Air Force veteran. A member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Shohola PA and St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Yonkers NY, Fred enjoys restoring and driving his red 1978 Fiat 124 Spider Convertible.
Michele Hamilton
Accounting Assistant
Michele has worked with the UCC since 1989. A native New Yorker, she earned her BS in Accounting from City University of New York. In addition to her work with UCF, Michele owns Sara Mae Bakery, a Bronx-based catering and baked goods business. Michele is a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion church.
Megan Sharlow
Marketing Administrative Assistant
Megan joined UCF in 2009 upon graduation from Towson University in Baltimore, MD. Megan earned her BA in Mass Communications, and lives in Fair Lawn, NJ, where she grew up. She is a long-distance runner and loves to cook. Megan is a member of Ponds Reformed Church in Oakland, NJ.
